L'AMBRA SICILIANA IGP

The Tarocco orange is the best known and most appreciated variety, also called "the queen of oranges" for its high quality. The red pigmented flesh of the Tarocco Gallo comes from the microclimate created by Mount Etna, which is why it is a prized variety specific to Catania.
It is a PGI product.
The peel is fairly thin and easy to peel; the flesh is red, sweet, with a strawberry aroma, seedless and rich in juice. Versatile for all kinds of preparation.
The peel is edible as it is not treated with synthetic waxes, pesticides or preservatives.
Beneficial natural properties

Rich in citric acid, vitamins (including C, A, B1, B2, PP), mineral salts, antioxidants, flavonoids, folic acid and fibre.
It has a very low sugar content and, thanks to its high water content, has draining, anti-inflammatory, purifying and anti-tumour properties.
It is beneficial for the cardiovascular system and helps to reduce bad cholesterol.
