IL RUBINO CATANESE IGP

The Tarocco orange is the best known and most appreciated variety, also called "the queen of oranges" due to its extremely high quality. The bright red flesh of the red Tarocco orange derives from the microclimate created by Mount Etna, which is why it is a prized variety specific to Catania.
It is a PGI product.
Very thin skin, easy to peel; red flesh, very sweet, seedless, rich in juice. Versatile for all kinds of preparation.
The skin is edible as it is not treated with synthetic waxes, pesticides or preservatives.
Beneficial natural properties

Rich in citric acid, vitamins (including C, A, B1, B2, PP), mineral salts, antioxidants (in greater quantities than blond oranges), flavonoids, folic acid, and fibre.
It has a very low sugar content, draining properties thanks to its high water content, anti-inflammatory, purifying and anti-cancer properties, and is beneficial for the cardiovascular system, helping to reduce bad cholesterol.
